Hier entsteht die Dokumentation meiner Aktivitäten mit X-Plane 9. Warum X-Plane? Weil mich der Microsoft Flugsimulator in letzter Zeit immer öfter mit Speicherlecks und damit verbundenen Abstürzen genervt hat.

- Verbesserung der zu grellen Lichter, insbesondere der PAPI-Lights
- PAPI / T-VASI lights have been dimmed
- Aircraft nav lights have been dimmed
- Aircraft white strobes have been dimmed
- Particularly bright large purple airport lights have been dimmed
- All other runway and taxiway lighting has been left alone
- Runway threshold strobes dimmed
- PAPI / T-VASI light flare eliminated for a more realistic look and dimming reduced slightly
- Airport green/white locator light dimmed
- Installation
- Go to X-Plane 9\Resources\bitmaps\world\lites
- Rename 'lights.dds' to 'lights_orig.dds' (so you always have your original if you don't like the changes)
- Copy the downloaded file 'lights.dds' to the same directory
- Go to X-Plane\Resources\default scenery\sim objects\apt_lights
- Rename 'apt_lights.dds' to 'apt_lights_orig.dds' (so you always have your original if you don't like the changes)
- Copy the downloaded file 'apt_lights.dds' to the same directory
- Enjoy.
1.2. X-Plane Europe Forests Texture Tweak
A small tweak to the tree textures in alpilotx's X-Plane Forests v9 textures to give them more depth for a "3D Effect". Original Texture sheets copyright Albert Laubi (aka xflyer).

- Installation
This is for the Europe Forests set. Locate your Europe_Forests folder and make a backup of the original texture file (Euro_Trees.dds or Euro_trees.png). Then, replace it with the appropriate new texture file.
1.3. Reduced size lights for V9
I do not know why, but FS and X-Plane always have oversized lights, especially for the aircrafts... X-Plane's V9 too! Only the "alpha channel" of the original file is modified.

Rename the original file to save it and place the file in "X-Plane 9.00 Beta-2\Resources\bitmaps\world\lites"
